अमेरिका में आम, भारत में पहली बार

यह तकनीक अमेरिका जैसे देशों में आमतौर पर इस्तेमाल होती है, लेकिन भारत में इसे अब तक रेगुलेटरी और सप्लाई संबंधी चुनौतियों के कारण लागू नहीं किया जा सका था। इस प्रक्रिया में डोनर इंसानी त्वचा से बने एक विशेष पैच का उपयोग किया जाता है, जिससे कंधे की मांसपेशियों को मजबूती और सपोर्ट मिलता है।

डॉ. अमित प्रियदर्शी ने बताया,
“यह केवल एक सर्जरी नहीं, बल्कि भारत में ऑर्थोपेडिक चिकित्सा को वैश्विक मानकों के करीब लाने की दिशा में बड़ा कदम है। हमें यह ऑलोग्राफ्ट विदेश से मंगवाने में काफी मशक्कत करनी पड़ी, लेकिन यह सफलता हमारे प्रयासों का प्रमाण है।”

जटिल सर्जरी, बेहतर परिणाम

कंधे की रिविजन सर्जरी सामान्यतः चुनौतीपूर्ण होती है, क्योंकि इसमें हड्डियों के साथ-साथ सॉफ्ट टिशू डैमेज भी होता है। पारंपरिक सर्जरी में दोबारा चोट लगने की आशंका अधिक रहती है। लेकिन इस नए तरीक़े से सर्जरी में रि-टियर की संभावना बेहद कम हो जाती है, और मरीज़ को दीर्घकालिक आराम मिलता है।

सर्जरी के दो महीने बाद मरीज़ ने कहा,
“अब मेरा कंधा पहले से कहीं बेहतर लग रहा है। मुझे उम्मीद है कि यह ह्यूमन पैच मेरी मांसपेशियों को और मज़बूती देगा और अब मेरा कंधा दोबारा नहीं खिसकेगा।”

इस सफलता के बाद डॉ. प्रियदर्शी और अमृता अस्पताल ने दिखा दिया है कि यदि इच्छाशक्ति और तकनीकी समझ हो, तो भारत में भी विश्वस्तरीय सर्जिकल तकनीकें सफलतापूर्वक अपनाई जा सकती हैं।
